Samsung - 5.8 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Freestanding Gas Range - Stainless steel
This gas range features an extra-large 5.8 cu. ft. oven so you can easily cook a roast and multiple casserole dishes at once. The stovetop is flexible, featuring a variety of burner types and sizes, including a high-power burner and a large oval burner with its own custom griddle. Plus, features a convenient storage drawer for additional storage, continuous matte grates, and weighted stainless knobs.

I mostly like the stove except for a few things. The power burner on the right front, does not lite right away like the others. It takes a while and pumps out too much gas in my opinion before it lights.
The next thing is that the buttons on the oven display are a little hard to push. They say it is so that you don't accidentally start the oven by just a light touch. Okay.....
Another thing about the Oven is that , if you start the oven at a certain temperature and decide that you want to increase or decrease the temperature, you have to cancel and clear your cooking and then start again at the desired temperature. Not cool...
Last thing I found so far is that, I have some cupboards above my stove.. I have to reach to get something out of them and push up against the knobs and it turns on the burners without you wanting to. They do not have a locking feature on them.
I had at first a Whirlpool but exchanged for the Samsung, that I liked except for the grates that went from edge to edge and they were melting my counter top when I cooked with all four burners as they were touching the counter.. I have formica.. If I had granite or a more durable type of counter, I probably would have kept that one, but another issue with that one was that the self clean you had to put water in the bottom to sort of steam the oven clean and I thought that eventually, it may rust the oven bottom.
All in All, I think this is a good stove and serves it's purpose so far.. Just takes a little time to get use to...

I did like the Whirlpool Range, but I did take it back and replace it, one reason was because of it having the edge to edge grates on the top.. I have Formica counter tops and the grates came right to the edge almost touching my counter top and would get it hot.. Not a good idea.. If I had Granite or a Hard surface it would have worked out better.. I also didn't really need the convection part and did not like the idea of having to put water in the bottom for the self cleaning.. I ended up returning it, and getting a different brand. Sorry Whirlpool, if you had one with different grates and without the convection and regular self cleaning instead of having to use water, you would have been a great range.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I absolutely love this refrigerator.. I bought it at Best Buy and purchased the Warranty for 5 years with Geek Squad.. I couldn't turn off the ice maker, so I called them and they came right out.. I didn't really need the ice maker so I told them they could take it out.. I have a lot more room now in my freezer. It runs fairly quiet and have lots of space for everything.. This replaced my refrigerator from 1995.. Can't wait to see if I save on my electric bill as well..

Is this oven just normal self cleaning or the aqua lift.
This oven is just normal self cleaning, which is one reason why I exchanged another stove for this one.

Does the display panel get hot when using the oven
I haven't noticed the display panel getting hot during oven use on the Samsung. I haven't touched the stainless steel part, but the actual display does not get hot.
I had a Whirlpool that I exchanged for this Samsung and the Whirlpool display did get hot and the handle got hot too when using the oven.

burner heat details
I am confused that all gas stoves have different burners for different heat levels, etc. If I want to cook a delicate sauce on one of the front burners, can it be turned down low enough? I don't always want to simmer on a back burner. Any help on this? I really am confused as to how this would work.
There is a low burner on the right rear for sauces.. The front right is a power burner and has high heat for boiling and the front left is also a high burner, then the rear left is a medium burner.. Stick to the right rear for sauces.

does the are around vent in handle get hot?
I read that there are vents in the oven handle and wondered if it gets hot. I don't want to be burned or have my daughter reach for it and be burned. I did see the oven door doesn't get hot but wondering about the handle area.
I have not had a problem with the oven handle getting hot.
