I have used wireless networking in my home for years and have had several routers. The NETGEAR RangeMax Dual-Band Wireless-N Router is by far the BEST ONE YET!!! We have 1 Desktop PC, 2 Laptops, 1 MFD and 4 tablets that connect through this router (sometimes all at once) and we have never experienced any issues of slow connections or download speeds! To top it all off was the price!!! The value far outweighs the cost!!! I absolutely LOVE this router!!!

Can this extend my wireless to my next door neighbors house if I want it to?

My grandmother lives next to me and she has never had internet but it would be nice if she could get an ipad and use my wireless and get on facebook and see all her grandkids. Is there a range extender out there that could do that for me? She lives about 100yds away next door.
I'm not sure about 100 yards but with the extended range, it just might. I have been able to connect to mine while visiting my neighbor but that is only 2 houses down from my home but I have never measured the distance either.

The best way to find out is to disconnect your device from the WiFi, go to your grandmother's house and then turn it back on to see if your device will pick it up. If you are able to connect from there, it is likely that it will be a successful connection for her also depending on the device she is using.
