Can this modem be used with any internet service provider?

We have AT&T for our home phone and internet service, but the modem we have from at&t is not working properly and very slow. I just want to make sure this will work with my current provider before i go ahead and purchase it.
If you use a phone line into your modem, then this will not work for you. If you use a cable line into your modem , then this will work for you. If you have the phone line their are other types of modems for you.

Does the netgear N450 have a telephone jack? Does the N600 have one??

This modem/router is made for a cable internet connection. It does not work with a phone jack. Their is a different type you need to buy.
