Before getting the FireTV box, I also tried Amazon Fire TV stick and Chromecast. Feature-wise, Chromecast is really no comparison to FireTV stick and the WiFi capability on the Chromecast is also very disappointing. FireTV box has better performance over the FireStick. A few things I was not happy about:
1. It doesn't play Youtube LIVE streamming programs
2. Lack of an easy way to turn the unit off to conserve power
3. Lack of a good and free DLNA player app. This should be a built-in feature anyway.

The 360 degree was the selling point I went after. However, I use that feature much less frequently than I though I would. Due to its size and weight, it's simply impractical to flip the screen 360 and use it as a tablet. The body was also mainly made with plastic, very easy to get worn out on the edges and corners. It does get hot very easily as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

after i brought this item, should i pay any monthly fee to watch all tv episode ,because nexflix charges that .
You can sign on Netflix service on this device using your valid account credential. There is no additional monthly fee on top of your monthly dues from Netflix

Is this device compatible with TIVO?
I have Amazon Prime and Netflix and currently stream movies through my TIVO. Would I still be able to do that?
You can stream up to 2 videos at any given time regardless of which devices.

TIVO
I will not buy any product that does not permit me to keep using TIVO. So, my question is, can I hook up Amazon-Fire TV and use it in addition to TIVO?
FireTV can be connected separately to your TV on a different HDMI input from your Tivo. It doesn't need any "input" since it has WiFi

Stream Existing Owned Movies
Can I stream movies and music that I already own from my computer, a la AppleTV or is it only for Amazon owned/purchased content?
