The touch pad worked correctly. It's very intermittent. It freezes sometimes and has a mind of its own. I changed the settings for it and that helped a little. I'd take it back but with a separate mouse connected it's fine for me.

It's perfect if you want to watch what's on your ipad on the big screen. I think it's price is too high considering it's a little wire with two connections

Can you see it if you are outside in the sun (as in reading on the beach)?

Not really, it has a real bad glare just like the other tablets. If you want that you need to go with the paper white or other non-tablet reading device

Can I get email and Facebook on a Kindle Fire?

Yes you can. The Facebook app is included as a default app. And the email can be used with an app also
