I purchased this to prepare for getting a 4K tv. I have owned several Onkyo Receivers and have been pleased with their connectivity and performance. One drawback with this unit is that the 'upscaling' only works with a 480P source. I wanted to connect an xbox360 with component output so it would upscale. I could not set it to 480P (component or composite) so I had to connect the xbox video directly to the tv. The other minor situation I encountered was after setting up the speakers I found that I had to set the volume control much higher than the previous Onkyo receiver for the same level of audio. I'm not using the wired or wireless wifi so I can't comment on those features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this for a bedroom tv to get better quality audio than from the tv. Setup was simple and my cable remote turns it on/off. Bass isn't very strong, but adequate for my use. It fills out the sound and met my expectations for an entry-level soundbar with decent audio.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had to replace an aged coffeemaker. Found the Hamilton Beach dual unit that can brew a pot and do the convenient cups. It works very well, a little slow brewing the cups but not too bad and the ability to brew a full pot of coffee is great. Easy to clean as well. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Can I play a turntable through this?

It has a "phono" input so it will connect to a standard turntable that uses an ''mm-type cartridge" This is covered in the user manual available online at Onkyo.

Do you have to buy a separate sound system to watch TV or is it just to enhance the sound quality?

It's an optional extra if you want better sound quality than tv speakers have.

What are the dimensions? Can it be used with a tabletop LG tv with a clearance of 2 inches from bottom of tv?

It's 2 1/4" high so it might overlap the bottom of the tv a little.

do I need a sound bar the entire length of the tv? for bedroom viewing how powerfull must it be?

TV width and soundbar size does not matter. A wider soundbar may give a better separation to the sound. I'm using this soundbar with a 32" tv and it is about 4" wider than the tv.

the LG products should all be compatible to each other, but the soundbar will work with most tv's.

What If u don't know how to install it to a TV & will it work with LG tv that as Dish network hook you it?

If the tv has a fiber optic output you just have to connect it with the correct cable to the soundbar to get the tv audio out. A salesman at the store should be able to show you.

Will it work with a new model Vizio tv

It should work. I'm using it with a 4 year old Panasonic using the optical audio out of the tv to the soundbar. The soundbar has HDMI in and out so you can also connect the cable box HDMI output to the soundbar and the bar to the tv with another HDMI cable.

Yes, it works just like any usb device. Copy from computer to this drive, mount it on your phone and use a file explorer to copy or move the files over.
