I have used a Samsung S4 for the past two years.
I have just purchased a Samsung S6;
Pros:
o Excellent Speed and features
o Camera shutter lag is vastly approved. Better camera overall.
o Good Apps
Cons:
o No SD Card... a real bummer. Since phone memory is limited.
o No User removable battery ... another major bummer.

This is a remarkably full featured phone.

The Best Buy On-Site Samsung support people were Very Helpful and knowledgeable.
I did find that even with Samsung, Verizon, and YouTube User Manuals -- The best thing I did was buy the book " My Samsung Galaxy S4". Had to get it from Amazon, recommend that Best Buy stock this book.
Also the recommendation of an Otter Box was right on.
Would have liked it if Best Buy would stock belt loop Holsters.
Very Happy with my purchase.
Having had the earliest smart phones, I backed off for awhile.. due to the cost and the fact that I'm home alot.

I was tired after shopping and buying my Samsung S4 w/ Verizon plan
and knowing that I had a $ 800 phone, did not want to skip screen protection. ( My wife broke her's after 2 mo. ) So I need protection and got it with out taking more time to shop for a better product at a better price.

What's great about it: Druable Case -- It popped out of the hoster first night - did not break phone

o Holster to Cell Phone - This is very iffy when your carrying around a $800 phone. Normally it is ok. But if you work in tight places where it is likely to be bumped, It can be popped out quite easily. Also, it is possible to "seat" the phone in the holster, and have it not "click" firmly in place. I had to check it after returning to the holster to be sure.

The bottom line is that I did not trust the holster and bought a R_____ Holster with: a) stiched belt loops & clip and b) full pocket with fold over cover with magnetic closure.
The screen protector is not as good as other products in terms of sensitivity and strength of protection..
Otter would do well to consider improvements in these areas.
ps: In a good gesture; They did offer to replace the holster.... if I sent in two pictures plus

So I had high expectations for this TV for the bedroom.
It does not seem to be up to Samsung standards in color & clarity.
I tried to change the setting, but still need optomizing.

Plugging the charger SG 4 4G
Does the port to plug in the charger a cover or it is air open?.
You will want a Silicone Guard case to protect it against drops.
My Otterbox has a charger cover.
I don't recall if it had a plug of some kind, which Best Buy removed when they put it in the Otterbox for me.

does this phone really require a data plan?
I need a new phone but only want to use it for calls and text messaging, I can care less about the internet features, and is it possible to just bypass the data plan.
If you only need calls and text Messageing,
You don't need this big / expensive multi feature phone.
The Samsung S4 is a full featured computer !!!
If you get this phone anyway... you will end up getting the Data Plan
there are just too many tempting goodies out there.
For not too much more money I got unlimited calls and text.and 2 gig of shared data..
I use mine on WiFi 90% of the time and have not scratched the surface of my Data. I may even downgrade the data part.
You don't need this big / expensive multi feature phone.
The Samsung S4 is a full featured computer !!!

is there a sleep timer to shut off the phone at night & wake it up in the morning?
YES...
Since you normally plug it in for a recharge each nite...
o It takes about 5 seconds to hold the power button and its shut OFF.
o It taks about 2 seconds to push the power button and it comes ON.
My bedtime varies, and I would not want it to power down in the middle of sometthing.
In the morning, The boot time is a few seconds.. it happens when I unplug the phone from the charger and put it in my holster.
