how to get better AM reception
just bought this and like all it's features except I like to listen to AM radio in the evening and for
morning news etc--it is very staticy--the antenna doesn't seem to help nor does moving it
around. Any suggestions!!
I don't know if I can do better with another brand or model--they just don't make them
like they used too
Like you, AM reception is important to me. It does have some static but not as finicky as my previous clock which sometimes getting AM reception was impossible. I had to add a wire to the antenna and drape it over the window blind or something higher to get better reception. You could probably try that with this clock.
I DO agree they don't make them like they used to. As stated in my review hard to find a nice stereo model that doesn't take a lot of table top space along with having good sound and AM radio. Many models do not offer AM anymore so I did think I had to settle somewhat with this model.
I attached a wire that has an RCA plug on one end. Probably any flexible wire would serve the purpose. It just needs to connect to extend your attached antenna. Hope this helps! Good luck with your reception!
