Computer slips right into place and stays there. Attachments do not unbalance system. there is no way for computer to slip from stand.
It is a very sturdy device. Stand allows monitor to be tilted until it is almost horizontal to ease viewing from any angle, power cord and USB cable can run thru back of stand for neatness.

How does the stand charge the computer?

If the stand doesn't come with an AC charger, how does it charge the computer? I assume you use the AC charger that comes with the computer? What's the purpose of the magnetic pogo pin connector (to hold the computer in place on the stand)?
Just run cable through stand and connect it directly to computer.
