Does watch measure cycling activity/distance?

I am a 60-something male whose primary form of exercise is cycling. Does the Garmin watch measure distance traveled?

You can pair it with an Ant+ cycling speed sensor though I haven't done so. I have a Garmin Edge 510 that I use for cycling.

Does the Vivosmart with heart rate monitoring require a seperate strap/band or do you still have just the Vivosmart tracker only

it requires a separate HRM.

light, deep, REM sleep tracked?

It tracks light sleep, deep sleep and awake time.

Does it have a gps?

does the Vivosmart have a gps to measure distance traveled?

It does not have built in GPS but it does calculate rough distance based on the number of steps you take.
