I bought this case because it said it was IPad 2 compatible but the "brackets" are too wide. The IPad doesn't snap in. Am I missing something?

You must have the iPad first generation. When I bought my first one it was too big I thought I had an iPad 2 but I was wrong. Hope this helps.
