What's great about it: Good sound, secure fit, durable against sweat/water
What's not so great: Heavy feel in the ear, not all features work with iPhone4
In the 10 months of Winter and 2 months of summer, I needed a set of headphones (ear buds) that had great sound, but more importantly were durable enough to withstand my hard workouts and heavy sweating that has ruined multiple pairs of ear buds in the past year. The Bose headphones were a bit of a reach because they are more expensive than I wanted to spend knowing that many pairs of earbuds had been ruined in relatively short order. The sound of the Bose headphones is very good (use with iPhone 4) although they feel "heavier" in my ear than other ear buds I've had. The fit is secure and with cycling and running, I have not had to adjust them while exercising. The headphones come with a cable extension that is useful if you are not using an armband for your music player. My only complaint, albeit a minor one, is that it seems only the volume up/down functions work on the cable of the earbuds. I have not taken a phone call with them in, so I cannot vouch for functionality there. Although the packaging did say that some functionality may not work with the IPhone4 and functionality is much better with the 5's. Not really important for my use. Overall - I've been very pleased with them - getting me through the mundane winter workouts with great sound until (if) the snow melts.

will the armband fit an iphone 5
If you have any type of protective case on the phone, it will not fit very well - so No. However, with a case, it is so "crammed" into the armband case, I wouldn't feel like it would fall out - but it looks tacky stuffed in there. Even my iPhone 4 does not fit well with a small Otterbox on the phone for protection.
