how do i enable my cable remote to work withis this tv?

You should be able to find instructions on your cable providers website. There are also some you tube videos that show how to do this.

TV is kind of slanted/leaning backward

Just bought the tv. After setting up the base, the tv is kind of leaning backward. Is that how it's supposed to be?

Mine doesn't lean back. I suspect you didn't get the base aligned properly with the TV. Make sure there's no gap between TV and base.
