I use this to drive 2 outdoor speakers. The unit lives in my attic and to date hasn't over heated or had any issues. I would like a way for sonos to monitor operating temps on each unit from the sonos app. A lot of people seem to use this with the 6 ohm Yamaha outdoor speakers so I wish they would have made it handle four 6 ohm speakers as well as handling four 8 ohm speakers.
The downside to these units is the price. I think it should be about $200 cheaper.
I would recommend this to a friend!

does the amp need to be hard wired to the internet

Does the system need to be hard wired through the ethernet cable?
No it will work on the wireless network via a bridge.
