Will Chromecast work with a hot spot?

I would like to us a chromecast in my camping trailer to watch on demand programs. I will be using an AT&T hot spot for my internet reception. Will this device work or do I need something else to do this?
The chromecast device requires a 2.4 ghz WiFi connection to connect to your phone wirelessly to stream content.
