What's great about it: Dependable
What's not so great: n/a
I have been using Toshiba DVR for some time but when my old one stop recording (over 7 yrs old) I decided to buy a multi unit to get rid of my old VCR tapes and it works great.
This product has... Great DVD upconversion, Good connection options, Easy to use controls

Hook up on new HDTV

Does the component connections allow video from both the DVD and VCR or is it just for the DVD
yes and if your TV have enough input jacks there is no problem
