This convertible device is well worth the money. I got this for about $60 using the Deal of the Day and a few points. The Atom processor in this device is not the Atom D4xx or D5xx from days of yore found in the those first netbooks that everyone bought and no one could use. This is a real processor that runs Windows 10 very well, considering the cost and device size and features. Admittedly, this is a trunk-monkey-- something I literally carry in the truck for emergency calls or unexpected server access. I jump on my phones hotspot and I have a great little device to access bit boxes. And it runs video really smoothly too.

There are a bagazillion different portable BT speakers-- under $10 to over $500. And price is relevant in trying to achieve the best sound -- the best boom for the buck. I have four different Braven speakers (BRV-1, Balance, Lux, 2200m) which I usually purchased on Deal of the Day blowouts from BB. Each time I move up, the older ones get passed down to the kidlets. The first 2200m was impressive enough that I wanted to pair it with another 2200m. The included directions are dead wrong-- but I called the Braven help desk and someone walked me thru the correct method to pair these two speakers in about 1 minute and boom! The sound is spectacular-- and since I bought both on special BB deals-- I spent just over $200 on about $600 of sound. I do not use the BT feature as my LG V20 has a great DAC and I use the mini-pin connection for HiFi sound. I also only play lossless source. The result is staggering. But, for most people's ears, and the lesser quality encoded music they use, these maybe overkill or probably not sound any better than a $29 clearance special.

Needed a soundbar for a Samsung TV and wanted the TV remote to work properly. It does. This fills a small room with sound quite adequately. It was a great price at the holiday. The day after the purchase I found a BB online deal for the remote speakers-- holiday and M360 discount applied. Total system was under $200 and the added speakers improve the system substantially.

Stumbled on this extra speaker system the day after I bought the Samsung M360. The M360 is adequate for a smaller room. This add-on was available with double discounts for the holiday and the original purchase discount. (I was not told this at the store at purchase time-- I don't think they were aware of it.) It linked up perfectly and everything works with the Samsung TV remote (which apparently is NOT the case with some sound bar models). These remote speakers essentially double the sound in the room-- and the quality. Totally worth what I paid for it. Altogether I have about a $500 sound bar system for under $200 Thanks BB.

I keep three of these on-hand at all times. I always use one of these to do on-site repairs of a PC simply to avoid touching the user's keyboard and mouse. Always reliable and works on all OS-- including on a Pi.

I used this paper clip style device for my QB files and e-statements and then clipped it to the "start here" sheets for my accountant. Expensive paper clip maybe, but it worked great.

Bought two of these on sale the same day. Two kids with small SSD drives in their fruit-brand laptops. Rather than pay a lot to upgrade the SSD in each they used these to off-load a lot of photos to make more space on the existing drive. Problem solved (for me anyway). I only bought the 2.0 speed and the 3.0 speed same-size went on sale the next day for $10 more but I opted to keep these. Maybe file copy does take a little longer, but it's not like the kids are doing anything important anyway.

Ummm. It's a Chromecast. It does what it is supposed to do. Does the double duty of being able to allow your Android tablet/phone to 'cast to the TV. I like the menu system a little better than my old Roku.

Worked great then stopped.
Was working fine for a few days, then I pressed reboot command from the main menu. After 15 minutes drive still could not be found on network. Now I cannot find drive anywhere and I power cycle but drive is gone from network. What to do?
In my experience it may help to move the drive to another computer and it should be recognized and reset the drive to run state. Even if you choose to remove or unmount the USB drives they sometimes mark the filesystems as crashed. I have this issue sometimes with an NTFS formatted drive that is used on Linux or Mac and it needs to reconnected to another windows machine to make the NTFS filesystem clean. You will not lose data.

Will this work if connected to a modem that is acting as a range extender?
My experience would advise that performance will depend on the actual router it is connected to. Also for some reason on the Cisco/Linksys and Netgear routers that I have done this with seem to only be reliable if using a 3.0 powered drive like a 2.5 inch portable drive. It seems that most of the larger 3.5 external drives will spin down to save energy and that causes the OS in the router to lose connection with the drive controller. Even updating the firmware has not solved that on some Netgear routers. Other users may not have that problem but my recommendation is to only use a smaller 2.5 drive powered by the USB 3.0 only. The best results for storage connected to a router is probably just a flash drive. If you need more than flash drive size you are probably better just buying a network or NAS drive and not using a USB connection drive.

Can this personal cloud be accessed by a laptop or device outside the home? I travel extensively with my work and need storage that I can access across the web.
Mine did not have and "cloud" software.
