Peels/skins & Pulp

Do fruits & veggies, for example oranges & bananas, need to be peeled prior to juicing? If not, is peel juiced or merely trapped in straining mesh?
How much of high fiber fruits & veggies "juiced" is wasted, ie, trapped in straining mesh?

We do not peel the oranges when using our Breville. We have not used bananas. We use carrots, oranges, beets, pears, apples. The Breville makes a very good amount of juice.
