No, this is primarily a wood stud installation kit. However I've installed 15 or more of these types of mounts for 60" & 65" TV's in our commercial office space (same metal studs) and I've never put them in to a metal stud. I simply use 1/4" x 3" spring loaded toggle bolts (Home Depot SKU: 261289) with 1/4" washers (Home Depot SKU: 204825) and I put 8-10 through the mount and in to the sheet rock in a staggered pattern. Yes, this does require a 5/8" paddle bit and leaves LARGE holes in the wall (easily repaired with putty and paint) and the TV's have been up for several years with no issues.
