Purchased to use as a replacement data drive for a system with an SSD as the primary drive. No issues installing. it did come with 4 mounting screws, which I find ironic, since it does NOT provide the SATA interface cable. For those who may be asking, this model did come with the Acronis cloning software.

Great price/value. Installation was easy. however, no instruction manual included, just the basic "Quick" Guide. For this particular model, no downloadable pdf manual. and the manual itself is not the greatest. however, software was not that hard to figure out...No issues with connecting via computer or via smartphone.

Excellent, affordable upgrade for a desktop combining price/performance ratio. Used in conjunction with existing/original hard drive. Only OS and Programs went on the SSD, while User Profile along with its' data stored on the original drive.
Just hope that the SSD prices start to come down again...

this sku is the generic one, but if you look at the picture, it shows 2 different size coupling and 3 feet or 4 feet lengths. so which one are you purchasing? the one that came did NOT fit.

For the price, you can't go wrong with this wireless trackball mouse. I used to own the wired version (it finally died) so I waited for a sale and got this one. Ergonomically, the arch is a bit higher than my old one but it was just a matter of getting used to it.
One thing to note is that the ball movement was a bit "Rough" or rather not as smooth as I thought it should be. I used my old trackball (read this tip online) and the movement was much better!
Based on my research, a number of people had the same issue...while the majority did not mention it.

Can I use it for storing and using my genealogy files?
I do genealogy research and want to know if I can put my family files here and work with them the same as on an internal drive? This would save a lot of flash drives.
Yes, you can use the Passport to store your family files as a back up, and use the same files on your internal drive.
The only thing to remember is if you make changes to the files on the internal drive, you should also "Back-Up" the same files to the external drive, thus always having a current "Back-Up" on the external drive.
You can do this manually, or you can have it done automatically with software. Windows has software to do that, and there are also excellent free and commercial software to handle that as well.
The Passport should have also come with software to assist in automatically "Backing-Up" your data.
