I was initially hesitant on spending this much on a vacuum. I have not had great experiences with canister vacuums having enough power. However, I decided to give the Dyson D-65 a try, and it is excellent! I have 2 dogs and it is great for getting up the hair and has the hepa filter. It also works great on our hardwood floors. It's very easy to operate and clean. I am very pleased with this purchase!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Will this model clean carpets as well as the other one (for pets) that has a motorized brush? Crucial question!

Will this model clean carpets as well as the other one (for pets) that has a motorized brush? Crucial question!
This vacuum is identical to the pet model. The only difference is the brush attachment which you can purchase separately for this vacuum if needed.

Motorized brush

I realize the PET MODELS have the motorized brush but we do not have pets and was wondering if it would clean as well. From the one answer I rec'd previously, it sounds like he was not sure but that I should vacuum more often. I can do that with a much less expensive vacuum.
It cleans just as well and you can buy the brush separately. Aside from the brush, it's the same vacuum.
