I really like this remote but it needs a few tweaks. I use this remote with Comcast's xfinity X1 system and Apple TV. I still need three remotes due to the lack of a microphone on this remote. This is becoming a standard feature on new entertainment devices and should be included on any universal remote. Second, the size and location of some of the primary buttons, like Guide, are less than optimal in my opinion.

I would recommend this to a friend!

will this device control my cable box? i.e. DVR, and change channels.

Need to know the model of your cable box but it controls all DVR/Cable boxes that I have encountered. You can visit the Logitech website @ myharmony.com to make absolutely sure.
