What's great about it: 3D feels like you're there

What's not so great: Potboiler plot

I was hoping that "Pompeii" would be based on a novel of the same title that appeared a few years ago. Instead they used a basic Hollywood boy-meets-girl/boy-loses girl/boy-gets-girl-and-dies tragedy plot. So what you're there for are the special effects, and these are excellent.

I would recommend this to a friend!
