If your are looking for something to multitask, forget it. It's just too slow. BUT if you're into facebook, email and basic web surfing it'll do.

While this is not a gaming computer by any means, it functions well for day to day activities. I do some work from home, so multitasking is important. I've even streamed some videos.

What's great about it: Faster than an android. Fulfills almost all desktop needs.
What's not so great: Very short battery life. Averages 2 hours just sitting.
I would have thought this would have a much better battery life. The screen is good, not treat. Keyboard works great, but too much like a cheap tablet add on.
This product has... A touch screen that works great, Easy to set up, A nice compact size, Responsive touchscreen

Can I print checks?
For office use.. Has anyone printed checks with this? I need to be able to print
checks with vouchers, 3 to a page checks and single checks.

I'm sure you could print checks. I doubt magnetic ink is available though. I would recommend a laser printer for checks. I never purchase magnetic toner.

The keyboard want pair up to it. The one on screen works.how do you make it pair up. I didn't get any instructions
Make sure you have bluetooth turned on.

How would one install a 3rd vendor software application besides downloading from a website?
I plan to install some apps... since the external CD is opt. is there another medium to install apps? For example SD cards etc.?

Are there apps available?
Can this be used like a tablet also with downloadable apps? Such as the apps from Apple iTunes and the Android Play Store.
Windows 8 OS means getting apps from the Windows store... very similar to the Google Store for Android.

Could the Dell XPS 18 be set up with dual monitors?
my computer at work is set up with dual monitors that can be worked on simultaneously. I love this set up and would like it at home. Could the Dell XPS be set up to work w/ dual monitors?
You would need to use a USB to VGA dongle to do this.
