A lot of reviews were negative for this product online however, owning two of the previous versiona I wanted the newest and greatest. I have had nothing but great success using this device. The remote tok a bit ro het used to but it is not all that bad. I recommend this to peaple all the time. Thanka for the great product.

By simply leaving the wire plugged into a wall devoid of heavy and abusive use,why does it break so quickly? I've purchased 3 for my office, bedroom & living room. All have broken within 1 week to six months.

Can I use this for more than one MacBook Pro?
I don't see why not. I use a WD and a G-Tech on my iMac with no problems. It shows this WD is for Mac so you should have no problema with formatting issues.
