do you have to wait hours for the movie to download?

We have an apple tv. Bought movies for our granddaughters to watch. The movies are actually taking 24 hours to download. Needless to say, they can't watch the movies and I'm out several $$ for movies I rented and won't watch.
That may have more to do with your internet speed than the box.
