It can do both 2.4 and 5ghz wireless but would be better if it could do them at the same time. I ended up needing to get another router that had both active at the same time. Everything else on this one works great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

WIFI range

What is range of the wifi with this modem, can I go on the patio with it?
Range is decent but not exceptional in 2.4 but is really limited in 5ghz unless it is line of sight.
