Netgear is a pretty awesome router. The work very well and I generally find them cheaper. The only thing I can think of that you want to watch out for with any router and modem is just to make sure they don't have an IP address conflict. That can make the router a pain to set up. It can happen with any router, I've had that happen most often with the belkin routers.
Netgear though is fantastic, and very easy to set up. I've set them up with time warner connections and century link DSL connections. Never really had a problem with them. The only recent issue I came across with my Netgear is that when power failures happen, it tends to take a little while to get back in sync with my modem. But that's no big deal so long as you are not super dependent on your internet connection for anything.
