After reading a lot of reviews and doing a lot of planning, I picked up the Sonos Connect Amp. It's one of the best electronics purchases I've ever made. I had speakers pre-wired, and a hard line to my router, so I just had to connect the speakers, download the app, and power on. I'm running it with the iOS app on both iPhone and iPad, plus the Mac app on my MacBook Pro, and it's been working seamlessly. I was easily able to add my music library from my Synology NAS, and I've also added my Prime Music and Pandora accounts. Set up didn't require any major technical knowledge other than knowing your login info for your streaming accounts. The entire thing took about 15-20 minutes. I'll eventually pick up 1-2 more Sonos units for other parts of my house and my yard, but for the time being I'm just going to kick back and enjoy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have a sonos system should I purchase a connect amp

Depends what you mean by "sonos system". The only time you need the connect amp is if you only have speakers and you need to power them. If what you have is the standard Sonos Connect, then you'll need to plug that into some type of stereo receiver or amplifier...not a Connect Amp. The connect amp is the Sonos Connect plus an amplifier built into one unit.

I have 3 different rooms, with speakers 3 pairs. 6 speakers in total. Can I connect all the speakers. Will the sonos be able to support 6 speakers all playing the same time, same music.

I have the Sonos Connect Amp and four speakers in two rooms....a pair in each. The Sonos unit only has outputs for a left and right speaker, but what I did is run all my speakers into a simple push button speaker selector switch. That switch then becomes a speaker hub, and you can then send the left/right output from the switch to the Sonos. Then just hit the buttons for your three zones at the speaker switch, and you're good to go.
