does this unit connect to my pc upstairs

I have good wifi in the house can I use this for connecting another pc in other room upstairs
For me I use it for my Blu-Ray player Ethernet hookup and also to get a better signal where my room is. You got to make sure the wifi range extender can get the signal from your router.

Will this Hard Drive Work with USB 1.0?

I say it will work for any type of usb connection on any devices that have a Usb connection
