Not sure if the 4K HDMI was really needed but the cable does what it says it will do and the 4k picture quality looks incredible and the sound is excellent.

Amazing TV for the Money, couldn't be happier with the size, picture quality and ease of use. I did have to connect the tablet remote through the WiFi but after that calibrating the picture and casting apps (in 4K) to the TV was easy.
