Prior to this, my best camera was on my phone, so I don't have much technical stuff to share.
I bought this to take to a few concerts that allow non-professional cameras, and I got it because it was recommended by a professional photographer who uses it at events as a second camera. It does beautifully, in changing light situations, and capturing movement. I basically set it to record video and used the dual record thing to snap stills without disrupting the video. I know I'm not utilizing all of the features I could be, and still I'm thrilled with the quality of picture, video and sound. I caught so many moments that I would've missed if I hadn't had the camera.
I wish I could share the pictures, the proof being in the pudding as it were, but trust me that the concert photos had people doubting I hadn't stolen them from a professional site. It also made me quite popular among the fan bases of the bands we saw, because I had some of the best pics and videos of the shows.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does this camera have a speaker?

So that when you record a video you can hear the audio while you watch the playbck.
