What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: Just had to link a name with PC internet connection
The tech did not really know the specifics of the use, thinking we need to have a cable from original router connected to it but that wasn't the case. Only thing I needed to physically do was to plug it in an electric outlet. Extremely easy to use and it works, bridging between the basement inlet and the second story where I am now.
This product has... Fast connection, Reliable connection

Belkin - Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender

I have AT&T high speed internet connected to my home computer. I am trying to set up a connection to a desk top that is located approximately 300 feet away but I cannot establish an internet connection. I have installed a WiFi USB adapter but still cannot connect. My question is ....will this range extender work with trying to set up a connection to the desk top?
I cannot say for sure about 300 feet, but I set this in between my left corner basement to send a boosted signal to my second floor right corner pc and have 4 bars of signal; maybe each distance is 50-100 ft apart.

Setup

Will I be able to set this device up without physical access to the router. I share the internet as part of the condo complex and do not have access to restart the router.
Yes I think so. They do not have to physically be together.
