Older surround system friendly?

Hello, my older surround system I have currently hooks up to my TV via the red and white jacks. I choose the external sound source on my old TV and boom, there's sound. I was wondering if the Insignia TV has the same ability - that is, to hook up my older surround system to Insignia TV using red/white jacks and have the sound come out on surround system rather than TV speakers. Thanks all for reading this question!
Yes, you can. Buy an adapter for your headset output (headphones) jack in the HDTV. You would have on 1 end the female tips, (red & white) and on the other end the male headset, simular to your cell phone headphones.
