For the iPad MINI this keyboard case is a tad too thick for my liking still. However, the quality of the case is top notch and the keys work wonderfully. I'd recommend this highly if you're not worried about fattening up your iPad Mini!

What is the life of the battery and is there a replacement battery?

With moderate use, how long will the battery last and is there a replacement battery?
The life of the battery is guaranteed for the life of the product by Dyson. Just make sure you register the product and inform them if it ever goes out. I've had one for 6 years now and it's still going strong with no loss of charge. The initial product does not come with an additional battery.
