Bought these for my Dad for Father's Day because I have a set for my TV. The sound quality is outstanding! The only caveat is make sure your TV has a 3.5 mm audio out jack. Otherwise you will have to buy conversion equipment; it won't take fiber optic or digital audio out cable. But this is a rocking little system. I was totally surprised to get something this good for the money!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just got these today and rear speakers are not working at all!!!!

Why would my rear speakers not be working ?? Alls properly hooked up :/
Had no problem on my TV (a Samsung). But it has a 3.5 mm audio out jack. I bought a set for my Dad and had to buy a digital to analog converter box, an rca to 3.5 mm Y converter cable, and a digital audio out cable just to hook up the sound system, and the back speakers still didn't work. So in addition to that, I had to use the left/right rca cables that came with the speakers. It sort of worked: all of the speakers work now except 1. My Dad's TV is a 2006 model. It's a Sanyo or something, not a smart TV, and it doesn't have the 3.5 mm audio out jack. Plus, I'm not sure his TV is 5.1 compatible. Hope that helps.
