I've been an Intous user for years and the Pro is HANDS DOWN, the GREATEST! I was reluctant to purchase initially because of the lack of button options when compared to the Intuos 4, however I'm very pleased at the software (to manage program specific setting as well as driver updates), the hardware build quality and the option to use wireless or USB connectivity. Wacom has pleased me once again.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Although it is most compatible with aAdobe products, you will also have he liberty of using this hardware in any environment on your PC, Mac or laptop.

Can this tablet be connected to a Tv oppose to a monitor?

Ideally, the intent is to connect this hardware to your laptop, Mac or PC, then connect either of those to the tv via HDMI or VGA cable.

Not one bit. Wacom has been around since 1983 and their products quickly became the industry standard for many industries , including photography and graphic design.

Can Wacom tablets be used for animation? I see all these comments and reviews saying it works well with drawing and graphic design but not much in the way of that form.

In short, yes. This hardware is highly capable of simplifying your workflow with animation (as opposed to a mouse). If you're a keyboard short-cut user, you'll also love the ability to set your buttons to replicate the key presses. The touch features will definitely come in hand in any 3D software you use.
