My washer stopped working in mid cycle last night and I cannot figure out why.

My washer stopped working in mid cycle last night and I cannot figure out why?
Some how this has happened to me as well, I would guess that somehow the "pause" button is being pressed, all I have had to do is press the button again and it continues to wash from whatever "position' it was in.

Does this washer fill all the way up?

I returned an LG HE top load washer because it did not get my clothes clean and it tied my clothes in knots. I LOVED the fact that I could use the bulky cycle and easily wash comforters with plenty of water though. I bought the next step up in this GE top load washer and it does NOT come close to covering the clothes with water even on the SUPER cycle... only give enough for a small load pretty much. I HATE HE washers! Does this one fill all the way up? I'm currently washing small loads on SUPER wash. It's very frustrating!
I think it fills to capacity - I have added baking soda to some loads & unlike my last washer, I have never seen any powder on my clean clothes, which means it is filling up all the way. I think this washer is a real good deal.
