HDMI Cable Quality Make a difference ?
Hi, I was wondering what the difference between a higher quality HDMI cable and a lower quality one would have in regards to, the quality of a digitally transmitted picture, such as those on a Digital Television. I know that the Quality of the cable can technically lead to a longer life-span and have more wear resistance from a mechanical respect, however If the picture is a digital transmission, and I am using the cable in a Area where mechanical abrasion is of little concern, Why should I buy the more expensive cable? Also why are certain digital cables so much more expensive than others of the same length if mechanical abrasion is the only practical benefit? This question Technically applies to Fiber optic audio, TOSLNK, HDMI (digital signals), DVI (Digital signals), Ethernet, and USB cables to name a few... (I know some can also be effected by latency however this is more often a product of length and is essentially irrelevant in the distances under question.)
