If you want to watch on multiple TVs then it is going to cost you a fortune. Plus the $150 annual service fee.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

apartment living

My apartment uses a satelite stream for tv , I have no cablee boxes.ccn I use the tivo on my tv, I currently have a smart tv vizio.cannot recor X shows at all right now.
Doesn't support satellite service. Sorry.

can you hook it up to SAT????

I would like to record programs that i miss due to being sick?
No. Does not support satellite service. :-(

Can I watch any other TV program while recording 4 separate programs?

Also, do I need a special card if I've gotten rid of my Comcast Cable box?
Yes. You have to get a Cable Card from your broadband provider.

Is there a monthly fee for tv roamio dvr just to record shows on free tv with an antena, no cable?

Yep. $150 for 1 year of service.
