Since we own about 2,000 dvds and blu-rays, we need players. These Sony DVD players rest in 4 of our rooms. No need to put wear and tear on a blu-ray player when we watch so many regular dvds. The price is great for the quality.

Is it possible to get a cable with a/v plugs on one side and hdmi plug on the other and use with this product?

Yes, but that particular cable is expensive. It would be cheaper to buy another player that has HDMI outputs.

How to use the zoom

I can't figure out how to make the zoom works

You have to go into the display menu to access this feature. Another option is to acquire an older remote control that has zoom buttons.
