Compared to the Perfection 4490 I had this V550 is a welcome upgrade. From the fast/no warm up to the overall construction this is a much nicer scanner. If you had a previous model you'll notice right away that the power button has changed to a push button vs. the old toggle switch. The biggest difference for me is the lid of the scanner, my previous model you would lift it up and it would almost snap into place to hold it up, this would jar the whole scanner moving whatever you were scanning sometimes causing it to be miss aligned.
Also be sure not to press too hard when cleaning the glass surface, on my previous model the clips holding the glass in place eventually broke off and the adhesive gradually became loose enough to where the scanner unit was getting stuck on the glass.

I've had previous generations of this device, the performance is great and the set up is very easy. Set up and maintenance can be done from an iPhone or iPad. The only drawback for me is that it resembles the Apple TV and has a cord, I liked the previous generation better in that the whole device just plugged into the wall. However there are applications where having a cord would come in handy.

My initial concern was that the drive would need 2 USB ports to function. Thankfully on a desktop that is not the case, probably on a portable computer you would need the extra power. I've burned several DVDs and Blu-rays on my iMac with no issue.

If you are familiar with Gloria Jean's Coffee you won't be disappointed. If you normally use Green Mountain Hazelnut then I would recommend trying this as well.

Bought this and never used it. My hopes by the pictures provided were that my 3rd party filters would work on the k-cup side. Upon opening and testing the unit out that was not the case. Also on the coffee pot side, a reusable filter wasn't provided, another drawback. From a convenience and cost standpoint my recommendation is to stay away from this model.

Is the 550 compatible with a Mac Desktop El Capitan OS X 10.11.6? My V500 is not.

Can I connect 2 8 ohm speakers into each of the front channels? Like 2 speakers for front left and 2 for front right?
I haven't had a chance to set this up yet, however my previous Sony receiver had 4 front channels all you had to do what switch the button from A to A+B. Looking at the picture on the website it appears this only has 2 front channels. You could do parallel wiring but I don't know if this amp is rated for that. If you really need the 4 speakers I'd look at receivers that have 4 front channels. Hope that helps.
