What's great about it: Picture Quality
What's not so great: no internet connection
This is a wonderful TV! I have it mounted on the wall. It is heavy, I mean come on, it's BIG, so hit the studs when you mount and invite a friend to help. Now that it's up and I've been watching a couple of weeks I can testify, even TV stars have blemishes. The picture is so clear you can see every detail. The set is not smart but I have a connected blue ray so it's not an issue for me. Honestly, I prefer a separate box for internet connection. My roku is way smarter than my other TV that is "smart". Back to this one, a little heavy, not connected, but killer picture. This is the one I end up watching over the other 4 in the house.
This product has... Easy to set up, Great value and features for the price, Right number of connections, Easy to use remote control
About me... Technically savvy viewer, Love to stream movies
I would recommend this to a friend!

Is the dynamic contrast ratio 5,000.000-1. 80,000-1. etc? Trying to find out the exact figure. Thanks.

It's a Plasma.
I never really checked to see what the number was on my set.
The question applies to LCD or LED sets.
It is not really significant on a plasma set

Internet capable?

Can I get internet through this TV? I am not very tech savvy but I know my brother-in-law watches Netflix and Hulu on his TV through a Blu Ray player. Cna this TV do that?
No, this is not a smart TV but it is a great TV for viewing.
I prefer watching Neflix or Hulu Plus or the dozens of other services available through my Roku. It is easier to use than my "smart" connected TV.
