We bought this tablet to replace an antiquated Nexus 7, so making performance comparisons are mostly moot. Overall, the tablet is speedy and looks beautiful. My wife loves the fact that the control buttons are no longer part of the screen itself, but physically separate. It did come with more Samsung software which we didn't need, but I could see it being useful to families with children. The one we really wanted to work, the samsung transfer app, wouldn't work with the nexus 7 and the wife's saved game data didn't ever transfer.
She's not too irritated, but somewhat bummed. I'm sure I'll see her face in another 6 months or so when she catches back up to where she was on her Gummy Drop and Candy Crush. Maybe.
I wish the unit came with more memory, or that android had an easier way to default everything to the SD card we installed. No solutions we found on the internet seemed to work as advertised.

What's more to say? Plug it in to a USB3 or 2 port and it works, and works well. Speeds are in the middle 60's MB/s with USB3 assuming it's contiguous writes. The device will power down on its own after a while of non-use, leaving the status light blinking slowly.
My only dislike is that they didn't include a power switch on the unit. It's quite irritating to have to unplug it every time I power down my system. I don't like leaving it in standby all the time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

If you like Michael Buble's rich voice (which I consider a cross between Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra, with latin bass mixed in) and you like Christmas, you're going to like this album. If you've not heard Buble, but like classic Christmas songs, you'd probably like this as it contains almost all traditional songs we're used to.

Does this reciever have toslink digital audio input from a TV?
Yes. It does. there are two TOSLink ports and one coaxial digital connector. One TOSLink is specifically labelled "TV Audio".
Be careful with the setup, because it will default to that input at times if it senses data coming from the TV, based on a setting in the setup screens, which caused my system passthrough to not behave right when I turned off the receiver.

Does this come with a remote? If not what app would be used to control it?
Yes, It comes with a remote. It is also compatible with the Logitech Harmony remote systems.
It can also be controlled, mostly, through the "Denon 2016 AVR Remote" app found on Google Play. I read that there's one on the Apple store as well but I don't have an Apple device to verify it. There is also the HEOS app to consolidate all your streaming options into one place and bluetooth it to the receiver.
The android app works well enough, provides ton of superfluous information about what's going on with the system, but can be a bit quirky at times.
If your receiver is on the opposite side of the house from the internet router, I would recommend using a wired ethernet connection either via direct wiring or via a powerline extender. It lessens the chance of quirky disconnects and firmware update fails.

is this compatable with a compac model CQ510Ff
If your computer supports USB 2.0 or USB 3.0, then it will work. That particular computer, the evo-510ff, is more than 10 years old if the searches I put on it are correct. That being said, it should have USB 2.0, but there's no guarantees.
If you are able to get into device manager, then check under universal serial bus controllers, and see if "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller" is listed. If it's there, then at least one of your ports is USB 2.0 compatible. If it doesn't say "Enhanced" then it's only USB 1.1 and you're out of luck.

The power supply included with the unit I bought here in the US states:
"Input voltage: 100-240VAC"
So yes, it will work, assuming you have the correct plug adapter (not included with the unit) for whatever country you're visiting/in, as ones bought here in the US come with the US plug format on the power supply.

If this hard drive fails, can I recover the data stored?
My WD external hard drive failed. How do I recover the data stored?
With total failure, other than sending it in to a recovery service, you can't. For partial failures, you may be able to use utility software (not included with the drive) to get the unaffected data off the drive. For controller failure outside of warranty, meaning the circuit board in the drive unit, you may be able to remove the drive from the enclosure and put it into another enclosure or computer that supports SATA. WD will not return your data to you if you send it in under warranty.
If the data is truly critical and is only stored on this drive, I suggest having a secondary backup of some sort.

how do I program wd my book 4tb. for quik movie download and veiwing.
How do I use wd my book for movie storage and viewing on my TV?
It's not so much that you program it for streaming. It has no capability to stream. It is not a MyCloud. It only stores data. You download to the drive via your computer and plug it in to your TV if your TV supports files on external USB drives.

Can this product be connected to a router to give me a centralized storage location available via WiFi?
As long as the router supports USB drives, then yes. It's automatic standby mode is particularly beneficial in these situations.

It needs to be plugged in to an outlet to work. The power adapter is included in the box though.
