It works as advertised. It is spill proof. The recessed portion does collect a few drops of whatever fluid you have. I use it for coffee and I have to push the release button first and let the residue drain back or I'll get a little bit of cold coffee...yuk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The unit works good. It hasn't gotten clogged up. The only quirk is the opening fits exactly a standard paper. You must get it lined up perfectly. I'm being picky, wish it was a little bit wider.

I've had harmony remotes for years. My old harmony one was getting slow on wake up mode. I replaced it with there newest model. The appeal of not being in sight was neat. Unfortunately, the unit works only with the Wi-Fi hub. I can't use it throughout the house like the old harmony remotes. The good thing is my big doesn't block the signal anymore.

I replaced an old Samsung 3d tv. The Sony is great. I think the 3d quality is better with regular glasses versus the active shutter...and a lot cheaper too!.

I upgrade my TV and sound bar to the Sony system. I had an older Samsung system. I liked how the TV would automatically turn on the sound bar. The Sony does not. I use a Logitech universal remote and I have no problems. The Sony sound bar has several sound effects which are neat.

Outstanding all-in-one computer. Lenovo makes similar computers, be careful. This model has the dedicated video card. It comes with two 4 gig memory modules. It's best to replace with two 8 gig modules.

Does the mount attach to the wall only or to both the wall as well as the tv?
Both, the unit comes with the ability to handle 50 pounds on the unit. I have a 65" on it. It also pivots which is cool. It comes with a wall mount unit too. I use the shelf unit and you can hide the cables in it.
