What's great about it: Good value for the price - it was on sale.
What's not so great: So far - so good!
Needed an immediate replacement for top loader by Maytag that was 14 years old. Best Buys sale price for this machine and good reviews put it on the top of my list. Had already replaced a Maytag gas dryer with the previous generation of the Whirlpool Duel model, Best Buy's included delivery and pickup of the old machine was the icing on the cake!
This product is or has... A great water saver, All the cycles I need, Energy efficient, Big enough capacity for a comforter, Doesn't vibrate my house, Easy to use controls

I have been making my own laundry detergent for my old washer, will this work in my new Whirlpool Duet front loader?

My detergent contains washing soda,borax,and fels napfa soap It does not suds much at all.
This washer requires "HE" designated detergents. I would only use those to ensure my machine lasts as long as possible and does not get damaged by some unknown combination of chemicals The detergent, bleach and softeners are dispensed automatically during the cycling and if these ports get clogged, they will not work properly.
