I had an accident this winter. I have a stimulator that uses a 9v battery. I thought this would be a good option for recharging the battery. Suffice it to say that a charged battery lasts a day and a half and the battery takes a full day to charge. There is only one charge point for a 9v battery. I should have looked around some more at other chargers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased a Tivo Roamio Plus and a couple of Minis for other TVs. THey "talk to" the Roamio and receive their input through Roamio device. Hook up and activation of the Mini's was pretty basic. My only complaint is that every so often I have to "reset" or "reboot" the MInis to receive Live TV. Not sure what the issue is AND Tivo customer service couldn't solve the problem. I know others who don't have this problem

I purchased a TiVo Roamio mostly because I am tired of paying the rental fee to Verizon for their equipment. The Roamio was a relatively easy hook-up and activate. Be aware however that their is a fee to TiVO (annually OR a one time, lifetime fee...lifetime of the box) to subscribe to the service. So far, the Roamio has performed as expected.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Please clarify

If I were to buy a TiVo Roamio can I get local broadcast programming by just having an Internet connection? The information is a bit confusing and don't want to end up buying TiVo then having to subscribe to a cable package too. I might as well just get cable tv.
Pretty sure you have to subscribe to a package UNLESS you get local stations via an antenna. You can then purchase a TiVo box which is compatible with antenna service

Comcast connectivity

I want to replace my 2 rented Comcast devises will the TiVo roamio plus dvr work on 2 tv's in different rooms?
Also does it take a Comcast smart/descramble card that I have to pay Comcast for in order for the TiVo to be activated and work?
You would need to have the Roamio plus on your "main" TV and a TiVO "mini" on your other TV's. I don't have Comcast..I have Verizon and yes, you do need to get (rent) a cable card for the Roamio. Mine is about $5-$6/month. Also note...you DO have to pay to subscribe to TiVOs service.
