What's great about it: Fast bootup and responsive
What's not so great: not sure yet
I have had this laptop for about two weeks. It has taken a little time to get used to using Windows 8, but once you figure that out, it's a good machine. I like the touch screen option and the backlit keys are great for low or dark light. It SSD is wonderful. This is my first SSD laptop and it's way better than anything else I've used. It's responsive, quick and efficient. So far I really like this laptop.

What's great about it: can charge my phone several times
What's not so great: takes a long time to charge itself
I picked this up the other day because I was looking for an easy portable power source. I like this power source because it can charge my phone and still have power left over to charge my daughter's tablet or my phone again! I like the ease of being able to charge the device itself with any usb port. The only down side is I have to remember when it runs down because it takes a while to recharge the device itself. So what happens is I take it out of my purse to charge in and then forget it in the house. But other than that, it's great for the price and the power!

What's great about it: the kids mode
What's not so great: minimal storage space
I really like the kids mode of this tablet that allows my two year old to play games and watch her favorite movies. The only problem is that because it's only an 8gb tablet, I can only store a few movies from google play on the tablet. So we are really limited to what we can put on there which can be problematic for long trips. I have a large sd card but movies and shows I've downloaded from google play only store on the internal memory and not on the sd card. So that's a little frustrating. Also the "kids" store doesn't have a lot of stuff geared toward younger children.

Can Regular Tab3 be set up to switch from kid mode to adult mode
Cant decide which one to buy. Regular Tab3 or Tab3 kids. Not crazy about the yellow. Would rather have regular Tab3 if it can change modes so my child can use it too. Any help would be great
I don't think you can get the kid mode that is on the kids tab on a regular tab but you can download a program called Zoodles from google play which is very similar and in my opinion just as good if not better.

Is this too childish for a 9 year old
I am looking to buy my son a tablet but don't feel like purchasing a full fledged tablet and would like some control over what he sees and plays.
I have this tablet and I would not buy it for a 9 year old. The biggest problem with this tablet is that you cannot load anything on to the SD memory except photos. So you cannot download very many apps and you cannot download movies or other things for viewing offline. The kids mode is for young children. My daughter is two and enjoys it but I doubt a 9 year old would think it was cool. My advice would be to buy a good cheap tablet with google play and download the zoodles app or something similar if you want to monitor him a little closer. Get a tablet that allows you to download content like apps to the SD card. That is really important.
