This ink cartridge generates crisp, professional-looking black text that resists fading and is compatible with select HP Deskjet, ENVY and OfficeJet printers.

I have a HP printer and always use HP Ink. The standard cartridge is good If you don't have a lot of copies to make. If you need to print a large volume I suggest you get the XL cartridge otherwise you will be buying multiple standard cartridges.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Unless your printer specifically states you can it probably cannot.

Using HP 61 toner in a printer that takes HP 62

Can I use HP 61 toner cartridge in my HP Officejet 5740 that uses HP 62?
Usually you cannot unless the printer specifically states you can. My printer uses a HP 61 Black cartridge and I ordered a HP 60 by mistake. The printer would not accept it.
