I had a smaller 120 SSD and constantly fighting for space. The software to replicate the drive works perfect. I've had this for a few months and very happy.

I can't comment on long term. I only power it up to back up data and then power off. I wish I could afford a bigger drive :)

I bought this on a trip I forgot my power supply. My Dell would sustain, but not charge and even gave me a warning on boot up. Don't expect it to work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does it stop buffering when streaming or watching video`s and if it doesn`t which one do you recommend.

Will this work on a Desktop?

Will this drive work on a desktop? I suppose i may need an adapter, since the drive is 2,5" and the bay is 3,5". But is there another reason why it shouldn't work?
Yes, get the adaptor and it will be great. I have it in my desktop and love it. Use the software to copy your existing drive. You may need a transfer cable unless you have an extra spot.
